This beautiful, wallet size - 2 1/2" x 4 1/2", laminated Virgin of Candelaria holy card, bordered in gold, depicts the statue of this black madonna, Our Lady of Candelaria, Patroness of Tenerife and the Canary Islands, and for protection against epidemics, plagues, droughts and volcanic eruptions. She holds the Christ Child in her right hand and a candle in her left hand. She wears an embroidered mantle, a gilded coronation crown and a sliver of moon.
