This beautiful, wallet size - 2 1/2" x 4 1/2", laminated Our Lady of Monserrat holy card, bordered in gold, depicts the Blessed Mother, Patroness of Catalonia, Spain, with the Child Jesus standing on her lap. The body of Our Lady is thin, her face elongated. She holds an orb of the earth in her right hand. The Child's hand is raised in a formalized and traditional Eastern blessing. Both Lady and Child are black, making Monserrat one of the Black Madonnas on EuropeOn the back of the card is printed the Prayer to the Virgen of Monserrat in Spanish.
