This beautiful, wallet size - 2 1/2" x 4 1/2", laminated Our Lady of Zapopan holy card, bordered in gold, depicts the Blessed Mother as she appears in her Basilica in Zapopan, Mexico. Brought to Zapopan by Franciscan Friars in 1541, the "Little Virgin" was the instrument by which Heaven vouchsafed to turn the fears and animosities of the natives into a confidence and love which enabled the Franciscans to gather them into the fold of the Good Shepherd.
