This beautiful, wallet size - 2 1/2" x 4 1/2", laminated Saint Francis of Assisi holy card, bordered in gold, depicts this 13th century saint in a bucolic setting. Saint Francis, designated Patron Saint of Italy, later became associated with Patronage of animals and the natural environment. He is the first recorded person in human history to have received the wounds of Christ's Passion. On the back of the card is printed Saint Francis' famous Prayer for Peace.
