This beautiful, wallet size - 2 1/2" x 4 1/2", laminated Saint Damian of Molokai holy card, bordered in gold, depicts this 19th century Belgium priest of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, who spent his life in simple service to the lepers on the Hawaiian island of Molokai, until he himself contracted the disease and died. By the time he died at the age of 49, people all over the world knew about this disease because of him. They knew that human compassion such as he brought to the lepers could soften the ravages of this disease. On the back of the card is printed the Prayer to Saint Damien of Molokai.
