This beautiful, wallet size - 2 1/2" x 4 1/2", laminated Saint Francis of Assisi holy card, bordered in gold, depicts this 13th century saint in a bucolic setting, preaching to the birds of the air. Saint Francis, designated Patron Saint of Italy, later became associated with Patronage of animals and the natural environment. He is the first recorded person in human history to have received the wounds of Christ's Passion. On the back of the card is printed the Novena to Saint Francis of Assisi.
