Catholic Online, LLC (“Catholic Online,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit or make a purchase from catholiconline.shopping (the “Store”), create an account, contact us, or subscribe to our communications.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with the Store, we may collect:

  • Contact and account information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping addresses, account credentials, and communication preferences.
  • Order and transaction information, including products viewed or purchased, order history, discounts, returns, refunds, fulfillment details, and related customer-service communications.
  • Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment service providers. We do not ordinarily receive or store your full payment-card number.
  • Device and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages and products viewed, cart activity, approximate location derived from IP address, and dates and times of visits.
  • Information you provide when you contact customer service, submit a form, enter a promotion, write a review, or otherwise communicate with us.

We collect information directly from you, automatically through the Store and its cookies or similar technologies, and from service providers that help us operate the Store.

2. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • process payments, orders, shipping, delivery, returns, and refunds;
  • create and manage accounts and provide customer service;
  • send order confirmations, service notices, and other transactional communications;
  • send newsletters, promotions, abandoned-cart reminders, and other marketing when permitted by law and consistent with your choices;
  • personalize content, measure campaign performance, analyze Store usage, and improve our products and services;
  • detect fraud, protect the security and integrity of the Store, enforce our terms, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential functions, such as cart, checkout, account login, security, and fraud prevention;
  • Functionality, such as remembering preferences;
  • Analytics, including Google Analytics, to understand Store traffic and performance; and
  • Marketing and attribution, including Mailchimp, to measure communications and provide relevant marketing.

Where a cookie consent control is available, you may use it to manage non-essential technologies. You may also adjust your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may prevent parts of the Store from functioning properly.

4. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information to service providers and partners that perform services for us, including BigCommerce for ecommerce hosting, payment processors, shipping and fulfillment providers, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, customer-support providers, fraud-prevention services, and professional advisers. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a business transaction, or with your direction or consent.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not authorize service providers to use personal information for their own unrelated purposes.

5. Data Retention and Security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including order fulfillment, customer service, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, legal, and compliance needs. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

6. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in any such email. Transactional messages about your orders or account may still be sent.

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to or information about your personal information, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of certain processing, and to opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising. You may also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.

To submit a request, email privacy@catholiconline.email or write to the address below. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Some information may be retained or excluded where permitted by law, including information needed to complete transactions, detect fraud, or satisfy legal obligations.

If you access the Store from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your country.

9. Third-Party Links

The Store may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for those practices.
