This beautiful, wallet size - 2 1/2" x 4 1/2", laminated Saint Genevieve holy card, bordered in gold, depicts 5th century French peasant girl. Saint Genevieve dedicated her life to prayer, practices of devotion and acts of penance. When she was only 15-years-old, she met with the Bishop of Paris and asked permission to become a nun. From this moment, she also began praying continuously and fasting, eating only twice a week, as a sign of her complete dedication to the Lord. Saint Genevieve is the Patron Saint of Paris. She is depicted dressed in a long flowing gown with a mantle covering her shoulders and is often shown with a loaf of bread, representing her generosity toward those in need.
